Born in Calgary, Alberta in 1951, in 2001, I began taking courses at the Alberta College of Art and Design and the University of Calgary. My work is taken from a response to the landscape and a feeling of being home. I am motivated by the vastness and solitude of the Alberta prairies. There is stillness and peacefulness yet there is dynamic movement and change. I want to capture the fundamental essence of the prairie landscape simplified into its basic elements. My work has show at the Leighton Art Center, Axis Gallery, Canadian Federation of Artists Gallery, Arts on Atlantic and the Art Central Gallery.
