Create Your Secret Kingdom

An interdisciplinary artist, Sabine Lecorre-Moore has a curious nature and shares her explorations using video, painting, installation, design, and curatorial projects.
Based on Virginie Hamel’s signature collage style, this workshop will explore her thematic of dreams, imagination, childhood and folklore recurrent in her Secret Kingdom series. The participants will work to create an imaginary space of their own, using collage materials provided by Virginie herself.
Materials are all provided onsite, including original prints, scissors, glue, foam brushes and wood boards.
This workshop is suitable for all ages, however adult supervision/help is recommended for children under 8 years of age.

Montreal-born Sabine Lecorre-Moore is a multidisciplinary artist working with the KOAC developing educational programs, both virtual and on site, and whose practice has focused on sharing her creative explorations and to open dialogues around video, painting, installation and design.
She has been involved in several curatorial project, such as her latest, Présence des femmes/ Women Presence. The workshops developed with KOAC are based on this show. “I usually begin an art project with a question arising from contemporary cultural and environmental issues, such as finding a sense of belonging and reconnecting human and nature,” she says.
