VISIT THE PARK

KOAC is open daylight hours for self-guided visits, and offers guided tours every Saturday 12pm - 4pm during our summer tour season (first weekend of July through last weekend of September)

While KOAC does not currently have an active visitor centre onsite, we welcome visitors to experience the sculpture park through self-guided walks during daylight hours, or to register through Eventbrite for a Saturday guided tour during our Summer Tour Season.

Guests are invited to park in our free visitor lot off Horizon View Road and spend time exploring art in dialogue with the surrounding landscape at their own pace.

How do I get to the park?

You can find the park at 244034 Horizon View Rd, located just off Stoney Trail NW (AB-201 W) via Old Banff Coach Road S.

Visiting Hours
The Sculpture Park is open daily during daylight hours for self-guided exploration. As the Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre does not have a staffed visitor centre or regular public office hours, visitors are welcome to enjoy the park independently during these times.

Guided tours are available on Saturdays from the first weekend of July through the last weekend of September. We recommend reserving your preferred tour time in advance through our Eventbrite link. Registering ahead helps us anticipate group sizes, provide the best possible tour experience, and lets us know who to expect throughout the day.

Know before you go

  • There is a free parking lot located directly in front of the sculpture park off of horizon view road.

  • There is no admission fee. However, we invite you to consider becoming a donor to support contemporary art and help nurture creative practices that will inspire generations to come.

  • Pets are welcome for self-guided visits but not on group tours. Please be sure to keep them on leash and clean up after your furry friends, as littering is not permitted on-site.

  • There is one all-gender heated outdoor portapotty stall onsite. It is located near the Katie Ohe Studio which is the first building you see after walking the main grassland sculpture park pathway.

  • KOAC’s public sculpture park pathways are primarily gravel and uneven terrain pathways that move through naturalized prairie grasslands. Some areas may be challenging for wheelchair users, mobility aids, or those with limited mobility, particularly during wet conditions or winter months.

    We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process of development and adjustment, and we are continually reflecting on how to make the site and our programming more welcoming and navigable for a wider range of visitors while balancing the environmental realities of the landscape.
