Dale Kirschenman, a graduate of ACAD has paintings in both public and private collections in Canada, the U.S.A. and abroad. “My paintings often illustrate my connection with the minimal landscapes and fantastic skies of the prairies. In the early 2000’s I began a series of paintings dealing with the horizon and the idea of the sublime. They depict elements of landscape and atmosphere as transcendent space where memory and emotion rise to the surface. The nearly abstract painting Winter Sky II, painted in 2009, depicts the light of mid-winter on the Canadian prairies.”
