Greg Pyra received an MFA in Visual Art from the University of Calgary (studied under Harry Kiyooka) and then pursued a career as a painter in Cologne, West Germany which was then the centre of art in Europe. He returned to Canada after three years and since then has widely exhibited his art throughout Western Canada.
