2023 Christmas Holiday Message
Dear Supporters,
As the holiday season arrives, we extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you. Your steadfast support this year has been instrumental in our mission to inspire, educate, and enrich our community through arts education and artistic residencies.
We’re proud to share the success of our fundraising efforts this year. Our Second Annual Harry Kiyooka Memorial Fundraiser on September 16 raised an impressive $57,037. Our collaboration with Levis Fine Art Auctions for an online auction earlier this year brought in an additional $8,500. Furthermore, your participation in Giving Tuesday was a success, raising $15,030. These contributions have been pivotal in advancing our goals.
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to host Resident Artists Tara Vahab and Kathryn Dobbin. We also supported Gail Hinchliffe, a University of Calgary MFA student, in her photographic research project and capstone exhibition. Additionally, we showcased the collaborative project ‘Territories of Dreams’ by Sabine Lecorre-Moore and Patricia Lortie and continued our engaging sculpture park tours and Tall Feathers workshops.
Your support has been vital in turning our aspirations into tangible achievements. It has allowed us to continue Harry Kiyooka and Katie Ohe’s legacy and maintain a vibrant space for creativity at our arts centre and sculpture park.
As we enjoy this festive season, we are deeply grateful for your role in our artistic family. Your contributions have been essential in turning dreams into realities and aspirations into achievements.
May your holiday season be filled with joy, warmth, and the satisfaction of knowing your support has made a significant impact. We look forward to a New Year brimming with more opportunities to create, inspire, and paint a brighter world together.
With gratitude and festive cheer,
JESSE T. BONNER
