Minoru Ueda is a professional architect in Japan and founder of MU Design in Calgary; he divides his time between this city and Tokyo. When in Canada, Ueda makes art and volunteers for the art community; when in Japan, he practices, teaches and does consulting in sustainable architecture. Ueda studied sculpture and ceramics at ACAD, and printmaking at KOAC as a friend of Harry Kiyooka. Ueda says, “I have always been interested in the visual arts.
