The Centre will serve as a community hub while simultaneously preserving and protecting Katie Ohe and Harry Kiyooka permanent art collection and allow space required for rotating art exhibits, lecture series and educational programs to flourish. As a community hub the Centre will be available for pre-booked public events, acting as a revenue generator to aid in the long-term sustainability of Kiyooka Ohe Arts Centre.
A planned climate-controlled structure will be architecturally significant, environmentally sustainable, and will feature a donor recognition wall, administrative offices, washrooms, vestibule, and lobby area with a large outdoor deck.
